All clear aligner services are provided by a specialist who will provide solutions to treat simple crowding of teeth and space management, as well as more complicated crowding issues that can be treated in office. Procedures involving jaw surgeries are done in conjunction with an oral surgeon.
Invisalign® is a system made of tailor-made, clear aligners that can replace traditional or ceramic braces in the right cases. The aligners are made of smooth, almost invisible plastic that will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. The aligners are changed approximately every two weeks – patients love the convenience, comfort, and ease of oral hygiene that this type of treatment can provide.
Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, transparent trays that gradually move your teeth into the desired position. Each set of aligners applies gentle pressure and is worn for a period of time before switching to the next set in the series.
Unlike traditional braces, clear aligners don’t use metal brackets or wires. They are removable, nearly invisible, and allow you to eat, drink, brush, and floss normally. Many patients choose aligners because they are more comfortable and discreet.
Treatment time varies depending on your specific needs, but most patients complete treatment within 6 to 18 months. Consistently wearing your aligners as directed (typically 20–22 hours per day) helps ensure the best results and keeps your treatment on track.
